What does an Artist Do All Day?

Yvonne Ham / Comment on this

I am sure many customers and friends have a vision of me painting every day.   I would like you to understand visions of artworks fill my mind daily and even into the night.   Art pulses through my veins with color, value, and chroma.   I can actually say that I now know what interests me and makes me have that Wow!  expression when viewing art.   I also  can quickly recognize if something doesn't give me that warm and fussy feeling.   Viewing paintings and videos of artist as they choose: what they will and won't do to their painting is interesting.   It causes me to  question just what I like and don't like in my own work.

I study other artist work not to confuse my own mine but, to clarify it.   I have been studying some amazing watercolor artist this month.  They include  Joseph Zbukvic, Herman Pekel, and Alvaro Castagnet.   These watercolourist are from Australia.   There style and techniques are all a little the same and a little different too.    I like the line drawings they add with their rigor brush.   That and the splash of pure color right out of the tube.    I am sure this technique with show up in my later work.
